Mustang Marriage License Requirements
State law controls the rules. Both people must appear at the same time. Bring a valid photo ID. A driver's license, passport, state ID, military ID, or certified birth certificate with a raised seal all work. You will fill out the application using black or blue ink only and sign under oath in front of the clerk.
Adults 18 and older face no waiting period. The license is issued the same day you apply. If either person is 16 or 17, a parent or legal guardian must come along. Minors also need a certified birth certificate. There is a 72-hour wait for applicants under 18. Nobody under 16 can get a marriage license in Oklahoma except by court order. No blood test has been required since January 1, 2005. There is no residency requirement either, so you do not have to live in Mustang or Canadian County to use this office.
